Bison and Bears, Oh My!
Two very different corners of the world, but a common thread unites them both…incredible conservation success stories. Back in 2018, the landmark 24 Lions initiative forever changed the landscape of lion conservation around the world. Now known as the largest and most-successful wild lion translocation in the history of the world, Dan Cabela and various members of the Cabela Family return to Coutada 11 in Mozambique for an important update — the lion population has grown from 24 to 100! It’s an incredible story of real conservation and the dedicated team/partners it took to pull it off.
From there, Dan heads to Alaska where he documents and tells the story of a conservation success story involving on of America’s most-iconic, big-game animals…the bison.
