MZURI and CFF Making A Difference

We are wrapping up an incredible conservation experience in the Eastern Cape of South Africa with our friends at the MZURI Foundation. We formed a partnership with MZURI late last year, with the goal of going and making a difference on a project together. After some vetting and ideation, we landed here.

Now, we find ourselves waking up early, and in the field the majority of the day, partaking in hands-on conservation with a myriad of animals...rhino, cape buffalo, sable, and cape mountain zebra. The field team has been focused and sharp, while involving us every step of the way. Doing work that makes a difference is so rewarding because the results are so tangible. 

The continued threat of rhino poaching still plagues parts of South Africa, which makes the work here even more vital for decisions going forward. 

Time in the field like this has a way of making you feel connected with the wildlife and habitat they call home. It's that connection, which urges you to care about their future, that keeps us coming back. So when you care about something, it's quite natural to fall in love with it. And as goes with anything in life, when you love something, you want to protect it. That's real conservation.
