The Future of Conservation
This week on Hard Truths of Conservation, join Dan Cabela as he travels to Alaska. Off the coast of Kodiak, AK comes an incredible story of conservation and forward thinking. Building and sustaining a new bison herd on the island of Sitkalidak, the indigenous Alutiq community of Old Harbor take ownership of their food security and subsistence way of life. Dan Cabela immerses himself into the community and is given the privilege of telling their story. Together, with our partners at IOTR, we take on the task collaring some of these bison in order to learn more about them and the way they’ve adapted to life here.
