Leica and the Cabela Family Foundation

A message from our Executive Director, Dan Cabela....

I’m extremely excited to announce a new partnership with Leica Sport Optics USA and our foundation. Spending over 200 days a year filming conservation stories around the world, premium gear is an absolute must for me. Using Leica’s world-class binoculars and spotting scopes in the field is one thing, but their commitment to locking arms and making a real difference through conservation is what excites me most.

“Leica’s commitment to conservation is grounded in stewardship, education, and scientific understanding of wildlife and wild places,” said Ryan Holm, Director of Marketing for Leica Sport Optics USA. “By equipping conservationists, researchers, and ethical hunters with precision tools, we help turn observation into meaningful action—preserving wildlife, landscapes, and outdoor traditions for future generations.”

From a focus here in North America to conservation issues with global impact, we’re excited to get to work with one of the most-iconic brands in the optics space. Look for them in the field and on future episodes of the “Hard Truths of Conservation” series very soon!
